On the nose the Wee Beastie is recognisably an Ardbeg creation, meaty with fresh notes of sea and smoke, a second sniff giving black pepper and coffee. The palate is rich with plenty of bacon, chocolate and aniseed notes, followed by an incredibly long finish where the peat smoke shines through. This is a delicious addition to the Ardbeg range, but don’t just take it from us. Even brand new, it is picking up prestigious accolades, winning Best Single Malt Scotch under 10 years old at the IWC.
