Wonderfully complex and unique with bright notes of dark chocolate with supporting notes of toffee, vanilla beans, and toasted marshmallow with a hint of pepper. Cacao Prieto rum based products are crafted from Organic Cane Sugar and Organic Dominican Cacao. As with artisanal chocolate making, every Organic Cacao bean is hand roasted, cracked and winnowed. Distillation is followed by a period of aging in oak. The resulting products are truly unique, accurately capturing the aroma and flavor of Organic dark roasted chocolate in a bottle for the first time. At 40% ABV they can be utilized as a base spirit in cocktails or enjoyed neat, on the rocks or chilled.
